The Melbourne Chippy is currently a neat team of three that works alongside a large team of external trades such as
Plumbers, Electricians, Plasterers, Cabinet makers, Painters, Tilers and Designers!
About the Opportunity
Due to ongoing growth, TMC Pty Ltd. now has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious carpenter to join our renovation carpentry company.
As a current team of three, that works alongside numerous trades,
every member we employ needs to be able to have leadership skills with a focus on pulling your own weight.
As a company, we have big plans and there is always opportunity for growth and promotion to Project Manager and beyond, including running your own team, the position is waiting for the right person.
Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
Accurate interpretation of plans and instructions, in relation to projects;
Completion of carpentry tasks, to a high standard - This is a non-negotiable;
Maintain integrity and accuracy of entire renovation, throughout site progress until completion;
Positive interaction with clients, sub-contractors and team members;
Maintain and foster supplier/contractor relations;
Maintain OH&S and cleanliness, on-site.
About You.
To be considered for this position you will have significant experience in trade/construction services and will be a fully qualified Carpenter with at least one reputable reference.
Skill and Knowledge
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role;
Fully qualified in Carpentry;
Have a proven record to contribute to internal and external renovations,
an eye for detail and precision;Have strong OH & S standards;
Have strong communication skills to work alongside trades,
contractors, designers and most importantly the client;
You will be able to work autonomously on a variety of tasks and projects,
effectively managing and competing timelines whilst staying flexible enough to deal with urgent situations as required.
A passion for the industry is a must as is creative thinking when it comes to solving problems.
